Wire mesh fencing comes in four basic types. You can choose from GBW, GAW, VC, or SS. GBW means Galvanized Before Weld and Galvanized Before Weave. This type can either be welded or woven. With welded products the zinc coating is burnt off during the welding process. The points where the wires intersect are unprotected and can rust and corrode. With woven products they don't have any welded areas so they aren't as vulnerable. GAW means Galvanized After Weld and Galvanized After Weave. These products are heavily protected from rust and corrosion and have a much longer lifetime. VC means Vinyl Coated. Vinyl coated fencing materials are coated with PVC or polyester after they are welded or weaved. The most common colors for vinyl coating are black and green. We offer many options for each of these. There are different grades available with different degrees of quality and range from cheap to expensive. SS means Stainless Steel. Stainless steal fencing is very resistant to rust and other environmental stressors. It is expensive compared to GBW and GAW fencing.
